Planning Academy Registration 2025

Thank you for your interest in joining our Housing cohort of Planning Academy students! The Academy will be a three-part lecture series on all things housing in Fort Collins. Students will learn about the different roles the City takes in housing our residents and participate in engaging hands-on activities. Material will be oriented toward the public, and students will not need to have any prior knowledge of housing issues to have a great time! All sessions will be held in-person from 6-8 p.m. at 215 S. Mason Street on the first floor. Light food will be provided.
 

1. June 9 - Session 1: Policy
   • Lecture – Learn about the work of the Social Sustainability Department’s housing team
   • Activity – A walking tour of affordable housing projects downtown
2. June 16 - Session 2: Regulation
   • Lecture – Learn about the work of the City Planning Department
   • Activity – A development review mock project puzzle
3. June 23 - Session 3: Funding
   • Activity - Housing costs challenge
