National Chemistry Week at ROM: BASF Kids' Lab Nomination Form 2025

In honour of National Chemistry Week, taking place the week of October 20, 2025, BASF is excited to invite select classrooms to visit ROM between October 21 and 23 for an engaging and educational school visit.

We want to hear from you! Nominate a school to help us decide which classrooms from the GTA will visit ROM and receive:

  • A full-day field trip for two classrooms from grades 3 and 4.
  • Access to a BASF Kids' Lab experiment, "Chromatograpy Butterfly", which teaches kids about a simple chromatographic process that separates the components of colourful felt-tip pens using white chalk and water
  • A 30-minute extended learning experience with a tour guide
  • Self-guided time to discover the museum and its galleries

About the BASF Kids’ Lab Program
BASF developed its global Kids’ Lab program to encourage children ages 6-12 to gain a better appreciation and interest in the dynamic world of chemistry. Kids’ Lab is designed to provide a fun, hands-on learning experience for children, teachers and caregivers. All participants explore chemistry through safe and engaging experiments, coupled with interactive Q&A and demonstrations. Students learn how chemistry is all around us and how BASF creates chemistry.

About BASF and ROM Partnership
In 2023, BASF partnered with the Royal Ontario Museum as a presenting sponsor for ROM's Signature Family Programs and School Visits to offer extending learning experiences to young visitors. Since then, BASF has welcomed over 11,000 kids to its Kids' Lab.
