Plan Baton Rouge III - Survey 1

Welcome to the Plan Baton Rouge III planning process!

The Baton Rouge Area Foundation and Plan Baton Rouge Project Partners have launched a visioning and strategic planning process for Downtown Baton Rouge. A primary goal of the plan is to develop actionable recommendations for bringing new energy and investment to downtown. We hope you’ll join us in shaping the future of Downtown Baton Rouge!

The study area for this project is depicted in the image below and contains the core of Downtown Baton Rouge, framed by the Mississippi River to the west, Capitol Lake to the north, Downtown East to the east, and I-10 to the south. This boundary is also the boundary for the Downtown Development District (DDD). While the planning work will cover this entire area, we will take an especially close look at a handful of focus corridors, including Main Street, Florida Street, North Boulevard, Government Street, 3rd Street, and Nicholson Drive.

This first survey, part of our Discovery, Analysis, and Visioning stage of work, is focused on your experiences with Downtown Baton Rouge. Understanding the community's perceptions and experiences of downtown will help us explore ideas for its future. In addition to this survey, you can engage with our online mapping tool CoMap.
