Defend Federal Tax Credits for Home Energy Efficiency Improvements: Share Your Story

Federal tax credits help homeowners across the United States make home improvements and buy homes that save energy and reduce their utility bills. Unfortunately, the credits are under threat in Congress.

The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) seeks stories from people who have used the federal tax credit for a home energy efficiency upgrade since January 1, 2023. We also seek stories from people who have purchased a new ENERGY STAR® home or Zero Energy Ready Home (which are supported by a separate tax credit that goes to the homebuilder)Your story of saving money while improving your home’s comfort can help send a message to Congress to keep the tax credits in place.

We will be sharing some of these stories on the ACEEE website. Please share what you can in this form, and if your experience is a good fit for our campaign, we will be in touch in the coming weeks to work with you to develop a short description of your story to be used on our website. ACEEE will not publish any of the information shared on this form without first emailing with you to confirm details and receive your final approval. Thank you!

We welcome you to share this page with others who may have stories to share.
