CDHE Grant Application

At the Consortium Dedicated to Health Equity Education (CDHE), we believe that professional development and knowledge sharing are essential to advancing equity in healthcare education. Our Professional Development (PD) Grant Program was created to support individuals affiliated with CDHE member institutions in building skills, sharing their work, and fostering collaborative scholarship.

CDHE offers six distinct PD grant types, each aligned with a strategic objective of the consortium. These grants are designed to empower our members—whether they are developing new content, presenting research, advancing technical skills, or engaging in collaborative initiatives. Applications are accepted twice per year, and recipients are required to participate in our annual “PD Highlights” event to showcase the impact of their funded work.

CDHE offers distinct grant types. Both are aligned with a specific strategic objective of the organization. Please review the options below and select only one grant type for your application. If you are interested in applying for more than one type, you must submit a separate application for each.

Which grant are you applying for? (Check one):

Community-Engaged Partnership Grant: Supports projects co-developed with community-based organizations to advance health equity and expose students to real-world public health and advocacy work (SO 3)
Institutional Change Innovation Grant: Supports the development of program or initiative aimed at achieving equity (SO 1)
Knowledge Exchange: Supports collaborative teaching across institutions, especially between PWIs and HBCUs/MSIs. Funds travel, co-teaching prep, and implementation (SO: 2)
Learning Grant: Software/technical training, or skill development (SO 4)
Leadership Development: Funds a short-term leadership training for early-career professionals or senior leaders in the healthcare field (SO 4).
Scholarship Dissemination Grant: Provides funding for publication fees or public scholarship activities. This grant type also supports presentations and attendance at workshops, trainings, or conferences as well as (SO 2)
