Public Library AI Capacity Building Cohort II Application

The Library of Michigan is offering an AI Capacity Building Cohort. Recommended participants are public library staff who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in using AI technologies in topics of particular interest to public libraries. The cohort series includes five live, interactive, online sessions.

Thank you for your interest in the Public Library AI Capacity Building Cohort II. The application is a competitive process so all applications may not be accepted. The program will be delivered virtually on the following dates/times:

Session 1: May 22 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Session 2: June 5 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Session 3: June 18 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Session 4: July 10 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Session 5: July 24 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Applicants must be currently employed in a Michigan public library, must complete a prerequisite of the AI Video Training Series developed by the Galecia Group, which is available in the LM Niche Academy, prior to the start of the Cohort sessions, and have the support of their director or, if not the director, their board, to participate. Applicants will be notified whether they are accepted into the program no later than the beginning of February.
