About ESPI
The European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) is an independent, non-profit association under Austrian law that promotes European space policy on an international and global level, offering independent analyses, proposals and recommendations to European decision-makers and institutions.
About this survey
ESPI is performing a study to understand the ongoing dynamics in Europe’s industrial base and address the critical challenges facing Europe's space industry. As a consequence of rapid market shifts, Europe has now lost ground in commercial launch services, satellite manufacturing, and connectivity - critical areas where it once led globally.
In response, this survey seeks your direct input on strategic improvements defined across 4 strategic levers: Skill, Scale, Speed, and Vision. With the help of your firsthand insights, ESPI aims to devise policy recommendations to reverse the current trajectory, inform policymaking, enhance Europe's competitiveness, reduce dependencies, and accelerate innovation.
You can expect questions covering both quantitative assessments (e.g., evaluating business trends and competitive positioning) and qualitative inputs (e.g., identifying major obstacles, providing recommendations).
Your input will be aggregated, consolidated, and anonymised.
The entire survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
We greatly appreciate your time and insights. Your contributions will play an essential role in guiding strategic decisions and policy development for Europe's future in space. You will be notified directly when the final study is published.
