Foundations of CAC Family Advocacy Application 2026

Thank you for your interest in Foundations of CAC Family Advocacy, formerly known as The Advocate's Role in the Multidisciplinary Response to Child Abuse. This virtual training fulfills the core training for victim advocates required in the National Standards of Accreditation for Children’s Advocacy Centers.

Before applying, please review the Foundations of CAC Family Advocacy webpage to ensure you can meet the training requirements and expectations.

This training is open nationally to all advocates that take part in providing the constellation of services to children that are served by a Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), including victim advocates employed by the CAC, working at a partnering District Attorney’s office, and/or staff of a community-based organization.

Sessions will occur on Wednesday, July 15; Thursday, July 16; Wednesday, July 22; and Thursday, July 23, 2026, from: 

  • 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. HST (Hawaii)
  • 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. AKDT (Alaska)
  • 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. PDT/MST (Pacific/Mountain Standard)
  • 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. MDT (Mountain)
  • 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CDT (Central)
  • 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. EDT (Eastern)

IMPORTANT: Accepted applicants must complete four hours of asynchronous pre-work by the designated deadline before the first day of their cohort. The email confirming a participant's acceptance will include all due dates.

Foundations of Family Advocacy is a four-day training that will take place on Wednesday, July 15; Thursday, July 17; Wednesday, July 22; and Thursday, July 24, 2026.
