Join NAAE in a celebration of Agricultural Education on National #TeachAg Day, September 18, 2025!
How will you celebrate NAAE National #TeachAg Day this year? Whether it’s a classroom party, a community service activity, or a screening of It Starts in the Classroom, we love to see the unique and exciting ways you celebrate the career of agricultural education.
This year, as an addition to any other activities you have planned, NAAE is inviting your students to Break Out of Ordinary with our NAAE National #Teach Ag Day Breakout Challenge.
The challenge is designed for high school students to work as a team, solving breakout-style puzzles. Along the way, they will both learn about the career of agricultural education and how each of their unique skills, talents and personalities will be an asset if they choose a career as an agricultural educator.
As a NAAE member, you can sign up for the challenge, and if selected, you’ll receive a kit with everything you need to participate on September 18th.
If you are selected to receive a kit, here’s how the challenge will work:
- NAAE will ship a #TeachAg Breakout Challenge kit and instructions to all registered participants, to arrive before National #TeachAg Day.
- On #TeachAg Day, your students will complete the #TeachAg Breakout Challenge in class and post their time and team picture on NAAE’s Breakout Wall.
- The team with the best time wins! Glory, fame and a potential career as an agricultural educator are all at stake.
- Students will be engaged in a fun learning activity, discover why their unique skills are needed in agricultural education, why they might want to become agriculture teachers, and compete with other students and programs across the United States.
- Teachers will gain a fun new way to teach about the career of agricultural education they can use not only on #TeachAg Day, but any time it fits into the curriculum.
Collegiate Agricultural Education Programs
At the collegiate level, our #TeachAg Breakout Challenge will be the same activity, but with an added twist. We want you to invite a group of high schoolers to complete the challenge and practice your growing agricultural educator skillset by leading them in this activity.
It’s a great way to get students to campus and do some recruiting, or to get out to area schools and make connections. Same activity, same competition, but with the added bonus of connecting high school students with collegiate agricultural education programs!
