Thank you for your interest in the latest webinar from the Financial Education Public-Private Partnership (FEPPP):

Talking About Federal Taxes
Date: April 8, 2025
Time: 4:00-5:30 pm
Location: Zoom (a link will be sent to you after registration)

As the April 15 filing deadline approaches, it’s time to talk about federal taxes! From reading paycheck deductions to filing income taxes, tax knowledge is essential for young people entering the workforce. In this session, FEPPP Special Populations Program Supervisor Miladys Garcia will walk through lessons on reading a paycheck available in English and Spanish and discuss how this knowledge is particularly beneficial for vulnerable youth. FEPPP K-8 Program Supervisor Amy Kliewer will share ready-to-implement lessons and simulations for filing federal income taxes, as well as examples of dark patterns – deceptive design practices that manipulate consumers – in tax preparation software.
