Financial Education in the News: From Pop Culture to Policy

Thank you for your interest in the latest webinar from the Financial Education Public-Private Partnership (FEPPP):

Financial Education in the News: From Pop Culture to Policy
Date: March 25, 2025
Time: 4:00-5:30 pm
Location: Zoom (a link will be sent to you after registration)

From trending colors to natural disasters, the news is full of stories that shape our financial choices and opportunities — whether we realize it or not. This session will explore how pop culture headlines and current events intersect with personal finance and economics, including the psychology of color marketing, the rise of legalized sports betting, and the financial impact of climate-related disasters. Educators will leave with discussion prompts and classroom activities to help students think critically about the financial systems that shape the world around them.
