Nomination Requirements for the Region 4 Dr. Rod Paige School Safety Award
The Region 4 Dr. Rod Paige School Safety Award recognizes outstanding contributions to school safety and security. Nominees may include individuals, teams, or entire districts that have demonstrated exemplary leadership, innovation, and commitment to creating a safe learning environment. All nominees must meet the minimum state and school safety requirements and be in good standing with their respective institutions.
In addition to the nomination materials, an After Action Review (AAR) report will be conducted and reviewed by the selection committee as part of the evaluation process. The AAR report will serve as an additional tool to assess the impact and effectiveness of the nominee’s safety initiatives.
General Nomination Submission Requirements
  • Nomination Form: Complete the official nomination form, including:
    • Nominator’s name, title, and contact information.
    • Nominee’s name, title/role, and contact details (if applicable).
    • Category selection (Individual, Team, or District/School).
  • Written Statement:
    • A comprehensive description of the nominee's contributions and impact on school safety.
  • Supporting Materials:
    • Include any letters, testimonials, reports, data, or additional documentation that substantiates the nomination.
  • After Action Review (AAR) Report:
    • All nominations must be accompanied by an AAR report that details the response to a recent crisis or safety initiative. This report will be reviewed by the selection committee.
