America 250 - Colorado 150 Community Grants and Aligned Giving Interest Form

Projects submitted via this form are considered for the Commission's Community Grants program and for Aligned Giving support from the foundation partners. The Commission requests that you do not submit the same project more than once. Please note that all projects shared since submissions opened in May 2025 have been reviewed or are being reviewed for both Community Grants and foundation Aligned Giving awards. Organizations must be a 501(c) 3, Tribal government, government equivalent, or have a 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor in order to be eligible for Commission Community Grants and Aligned Giving.

The final submission deadline is February 15, 2026 at 5PM MST.

The Community Grants program expands on the existing Aligned Giving program, awarding up to $7,500 per project. Grant recipients are selected based on strong alignment with the Commission's goals, themes, and values, ensuring meaningful impact rather than a first-come, first-served approach.

For foundation Aligned Giving, the Commission shares submitted forms with participating Colorado foundations, which independently determine whether a project aligns with their priorities. If so, they will request a conversation, and the Commission will facilitate introductions. Foundations consider the Commission’s feedback but make their own funding decisions. We encourage applicants to explore each foundation’s priority grant making areas below to assess fit:
