GFW External Evaluation

Introduction

The World Resources Institute (WRI), in collaboration with The University of Edinburgh's Centre for Sustainable Forests and Landscapes, are conducting an evaluation of Global Forest Watch (GFW), a major initiative of the Institute. Global Forest Watch provides transparent data and actionable insights about the changing state of world’s forests to diverse stakeholders through a free, online platform (www.globalforestwatch.org) and associated forest monitoring tools. The GFW team also conducts outreach and engagement with target audiences to support high-impact applications of the data and tools.

The survey is designed to be taken by current and previous users of Global Forest Watch, and those who have never used it to understand how successful the programme has been at providing public access to data and analysis about global forest change.

The evaluation is being led by Dr Iain McNicol from the University of Edinburgh. If you have any questions about this survey, please contact Dr McNicol at i.mcnicol@ed.ac.uk.
