Environmental Sustainability Award Nomination Form

This Award will be given to the charity retailer that can demonstrate measurable carbon reduction through new ways of working or improvements to existing aspects of the retail operation that reduce its carbon footprint, for example (this is not an exhaustive list):   

•  Introduction of green policies  
•  A change of energy provider  
• Changes to or a reduction in consumables  
• New ways of recycling materials or waste  

Criteria 

The charity can:  

• Describe the initiatives, and their goals, that have been introduced in the last 12 months to promote environmental sustainability (5 points)  

• Describe the success in achieving the goal(s) of the initiative(s) (5 points)  

• Provide an effective measure of the carbon savings made from the emissions reduction from these initiatives (please do not include in this measure potential carbon reductions from the sale of goods for reuse) (5 points) 

• Additionally, provide a measure of any initiatives which have improved the reuse and circularity impact of your operations (you must use the CRA carbon calculator) (2 points) 

Note: Judges receive anonymised entries but we will provide information on the size of your retail operations to judges for comparison.
