What is a GBS mindset?

• GBS mindset is a set of beliefs and attitudes that the GBS organization shares
• Mindsets color the way the organization thinks, acts, and prioritizes what is important, or – simply put, – its DNA.
• Mindsets are not a GBS North Star. Mindsets are the ‘“how’ a” GBS delivers its North Star

Why are mindsets important?

• While skills—the ability to do work, such as create a spreadsheet or respond to a customer inquiry—and capabilities such as process, digital and domain mastery—drive individual and team performance, mindsets create high performing GBS organizations
• Mindsets build off of skills and capabilities to create alignment on priorities and the GBS playbook. Without the right mindsets, there likely is a lack of common vision, misalignment of priorities, inconsistency of approach to programs and stakeholders, and suboptimal performance
