Remember a local – Moonee Valley name bank

Get started

Do you know an unsung hero who has left a lasting legacy in your community?
We’re inviting all Moonee Valley residents to nominate someone who has made a significant contribution to be considered for a new place name, particularly individuals from under-represented groups, including women, First Peoples and multicultural communities that have contributed to the fabric of Moonee Valley over the years and helped make our communities thriving places.

Nominations will be added to Council’s name bank, to be considered when places need naming.

This nomination form will take about 10 minutes to fill out.
You will need information about the person to be nominated for commemoration, including:
-a short biography
-information on their connections to places or areas in Moonee Valley
-why they are being nominated
-documentation showing next of kin or family member support (this could be letters or emails)
-contact details for next of kin if that is not you
-letters of endorsement from people or organisations associated with the person

We recommend you have all the information ready before you start the form.
For more information about the nomination process and guidelines, please visit our Your Say page.
