Established in 1942, McIntosh is Ontario’s first, and Canada’s second university art gallery. With a collection of over 4,000 works of significant Canadian art. The gallery supports the mandate of Western University through art exhibitions and educational programs and mounts between four and nine exhibitions per year that include work from the collection, contemporary practicing artists, and selected student thesis exhibitions. An ancillary program draws out key themes of each exhibition.
The Osborne Group is supporting the McIntosh with the development of a new 5-year strategic plan expected to be completed in the late spring of 2025. This strategy work is integrated with a facility review and needs assessment which will follow this summer and fall with the support of VG+ architects and the university Planning and Facilities department. When completed, this project will provide the information needed to make informed decisions about the future direction of McIntosh Gallery.
This survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. All responses are confidential, and the information will be holistically integrated into a final analysis. Your comments and observations are valuable to us as we develop the future direction of McIntosh Gallery.
