Building on Belonging: Accessibility on the Licensure Path

NCARB is committed to ensuring that the path to licensure is accessible for individuals of all backgrounds. As part of NCARB and NOMA’s joint Building on Belonging effort, we’re working to gather data around impediments on the path to licensure—including impediments that disproportionately impact individuals with disabilities. This information will help NCARB develop future pathways to licensure that are accessible, flexible, and meet the needs of the next generation of architects.

Help us identify how the licensure process could better support candidates of all backgrounds by taking a brief survey. In order to gain substantive insights, we encourage all students, candidates, and architects—regardless of disability status—to participate. Your responses are confidential. NCARB will report on the survey findings in aggregate and will ensure no personal information is identifiable.

The survey will close at 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Friday, February 14, 2025.

If you are interested in sharing how a disability or chronic condition impacted your path to licensure and are unable to complete the survey, please contact us at communications@ncarb.org.
