Nominations for Chapter Awards
 
To complete these nominations, you will need:

  • Your contact info
  • Information to support the nomination, which may include event or program descriptions, digital copies of communication, examples of resources, letters of support, etc.  

Advisory Team of the Year

Given to a chapter advising team that distinguishes themselves through their coaching and support of an undergraduate chapter. Nominations may come from chapter officers, General Fraternity Office, Administrative Office staff, or advisory teams themselves.

Charles Henry Hardin Leadership Development

Honors Founder Charles Henry Hardin by recognizing chapters that exemplify outstanding participation in Beta-hosted and sponsored leadership experiences, honoring the leadership displayed by Founder Charles Henry Hardin. Awards will be presented to the highest percentage of chapter members and the highest number of members attending leadership programs.

Excellence in Risk Management

Awarded to chapters with outstanding risk management programs that best reflect the mission, vision, and values of Beta Theta Pi.

H.H. Stephenson Jr. Award for Historical Research and Preservation

Recognizes a chapter’s commitment to historical education and preservation, exemplifying the passion displayed by former archivist H.H. Stephenson Jr., Miami ’39.

John Holt Duncan Community Service

Presented to chapters that best exemplify, through their hands-on service and philanthropy, the commitment of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity to our members, our campuses, our communities, and the world.

Most Improved Chapter

Given to the chapter demonstrates significant improvement in a variety of areas, including recruitment, member education and development, risk management, and building positive chapter culture.

New Song Writing Competition

Celebrates the best original song submission that exemplifies the Beta Spirit and the values of the Fraternity as a true “Singing Fraternity.”

North Dakota Award for Alumni Communication

Awarded for excellence in chapter or alumni communications, including creative and engaging content that clearly demonstrates how members live Beta’s core values and convey general alumni news.

Outstanding Alumni Relations Program

Given to chapters and alumni relations committees that work diligently to keep their alumni connected to Beta Theta Pi and to one another.

Outstanding Alumni Association Award
Recognizes chapter-based or area/geographic alumni associations that work diligently to keep their alumni connected to Beta Theta Pi and to each other.

Outstanding Campus Involvement

Presented annually to chapters with outstanding and sustained involvement in campus organizations and across student leadership positions.

Outstanding New Member Education

Recognizes chapters that plan and implement an outstanding new member program that reflects the mission, vision, and values of Beta Theta Pi.

Outstanding Recruitment

Recognizes chapters with recruitment programs that reflect the mission, vision, and values of Beta Theta Pi and incorporate recruitment best practices.

Shelby Molter Song Competition

Awarded to a chapter that excels during a live performance at the General Convention. Chapters typically perform a traditional Beta song.

Virginia Tech Awards for Excellence in Academic

Honors scholastic achievement across multiple categories. First, by honoring one chapter within 10 specified regions with the highest differential between the chapter average GPA and the all-campus average GPA. Second, in recognition of the chapter with the year’s most improved GPA. Third, with an award for the highest GPA across all Beta chapters. Finally, by honoring chapters that rank first on their campuses in GPA for at least one term in the previous calendar year.

Whitman Choral Cup

Named for the Whitman Chapter and its historical reputation for its choral abilities, this award is presented to the best-recorded performance by a chapter. Chapters typically perform a traditional Beta song.
