This national survey aims to capture information on third sector organisations who are delivering Perinatal and Infant Mental Health (PIMH) services in Scotland.
For the purposes of this survey, we define PIMH services as those that deliver mental health and well-being support to parents and carers through pregnancy and until the infant's first birthday and/or infant mental health and infant-parent relationship support from conception until the baby's third birthday. An example of this could be mental health peer support, parenting support or counselling.
A third sector organisation is a non-profit organisation, a voluntary or community organisation – for example charities, social enterprises and community groups.
We would like to hear from
third sector organisations delivering PIMH support and organisations and agencies who refer families to third sector PIMH services. We have different questions for you depending on whether you are from third sector organisations or if you refer to third sector groups delivering PIMH services.
Specifically we are gathering information about the following:
- PIMH third sector provision across Scotland
- Referrals and demand for PIMH third sector services
- Funding sources for PIMH third sector services
This will build on the data Inspiring Scotland has captured since 2022 and will be used to produce a
2025 PIMH Third Sector Insight Report. The report will be shared with the Scottish Government, other early years and independent funders, and publicly on Inspiring Scotland's website.
The report will inform us and stakeholders about the sector's current position and support and influence future development.
This survey will close at 12noon on Friday 28th February 2025 and should take up to 10 minutes to complete.
