EDI stands for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. It refers to initiatives and policies aimed at:
Equity: Providing fair treatment, access, and opportunities for all, recognizing that different people may need different levels of support to achieve the same outcomes.
Diversity: Ensuring representation of different groups, including age, gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, physical conditions, cultural background, country of origin etc.
Inclusion: Creating an environment where all individuals feel valued, respected, and supported, enabling them to fully participate and contribute.
The goal of the research is to raise understanding about the barriers that people from BIPOC and other marginalized communities face in the marketing profession. By identifying gaps and challenges, we aim to reduce barriers and identify opportunities, to create safe, supportive and inclusive spaces for all.
