Welcome to the Culture2030Goal campaign's survey on a potential culture goal. Since 2013, the campaign has advocated for the inclusion of culture as a distinct goal in the global development framework. The campaign brings together Arterial Network, Culture Action Europe, the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), the International Music Council (IMC), the International Federation of Coalitions for Cultural Diversity (IFCCD), the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and United Cities and Local Governments Culture Committee (UCLG).
In 2022, on the occasion of the UNESCO MONDIACULT Conference, we launched the
Zero Draft of a dedicated or ‘standalone’ goal on culture. Entitled ‘Culture Goal: to ensure cultural sustainability for the wellbeing of all”, it offers ten potential targets, similar to those included in the SDGs. Since then, we have seen the idea of such a goal endorsed by UNESCO and others, and made the focus of the MONDIACULT 2025 Conference.
We are therefore working to update and improve our draft, based on the input of the wider culture and development communities. Your inputs to this survey are essential to achieving this goal.
None of the questions are obligatory, but your answers are strongly appreciated. There are between 17 and 27 questions, depending your answers, and it may take up to 15 minutes to respond, depending on how much you want to add. You can also save your responses part of the way through and return to the survey.
Please also feel ready to share the survey with your own networks and anyone else who you feel can contribute.
Deadline: 30 April 2025.
The final questions are about you in order to help understand more about the community answering this survey
