While there are many strategies that influence behavior change and health seeking behavior among youth, priority will be given to presentations that highlight best practices for the prevention of youth substance use and mental health well-being broadly. Each proposal will be assessed by members of the conference planning group, which is dedicated to promoting best practices and evidence-based science around prevention. The theme of the conference is the powerful protective force that caring, connection, belonging and mattering brings to the field of prevention. It is an essential ingredient in our work. Additionally, we would also like each breakout session to promote ideas, tools and resources to deepen health equity.
