2025 USTA Missouri Valley District / Section Grant Application

District / Section Grant Application Information

Please Read:

USTA Missouri Valley offers grants to assist organizations in initiating or expanding their tennis programming activities. The section offers a variety of grants that support this initiative, and you can find them below.
  • In question #11 below you will be able to choose the grant category that you would like to complete, and it will initiate the application.
    • You will find the guidelines associated with each grant when you select the category.
    • You will need to complete one grant application for each category you wish to receive grant funding.
District Level Grants: 
Organizations may apply for grants directly from their USTA District. If you do not know what district your organization resides in, please click here.
  • You may apply for both district and section grants if the need for funds is there and you can account for all funds received. 
    • You must submit separate applications for each grant you are requesting. 
USTA District Grant Categories:
  • USTA Heart of America 
    • Grants will be awarded until available funds are exhausted.
    • Grant Deadlines fall in line with the section deadlines for 2025
  • USTA Iowa
    • Grant Deadlines: USTA Iowa District Grants are open year-round.
    • This grant is primarily used for tennis equipment assistance
    • Applications will be reviewed and awarded until budgeted money is gone.
  • USTA Kansas
    • Program grants range from $200 - $500
    • Grant Deadlines fall in line with the section deadlines for 2025
  • USTA Missouri
    • Applications will be reviewed and awarded until budgeted money is gone.
      • 4 Grant Categories: 
        • Junior Equipment (up to $500)
        • Tennis On Campus (up to $250)
        • Adult Social Events / Programs (up to $150)
        • Other (up to $500)
    • Grant Deadlines fall in line with the section deadlines for 2025
  • USTA Oklahoma
    • USTA Oklahoma is committed to promoting tennis at the local level. To that end, we offer grants to assist member organizations to initiate or expand their tennis programming. Our long-term goal is to help programs become self-sufficient.  
      • 6 Grant Categories: 
        • USTA Junior Play - Matching Up to $150/event
        • Tennis on Campus - Up to $250/Semester
        • Adult Social Events - Up to $150/event
        • Provider Innovation - Matching Up to $250
        • Facility Enhancement - Matching Up to $750
        • Schools Tennis Grant - Up to $500 in value
    • Grant Deadlines: USTA Oklahoma District Grants are open year-round.
  • USTA Nebraska
    • Grant applications will be reviewed and awarded as they are received during grant cycles, or until annual funds are exhausted.
      • 6 grant categories: (up to $500)
        • Junior Team Tennis
        • Tennis On Campus
        • 10 and Under
        • Junior Recreation
        • Diversity & Inclusion
        • Adaptive
    • Grant Deadlines:
      • Cycle One: January 1 - April 30
      • Cycle Two: May 1 - November 15
  • USTA St. Louis
    • USTA St. Louis is committed to promoting tennis at the local level. We offer a variety of grants to assist USTA Member Organizations to initiate, expand and improve programming activities.
      • 4 Grant Categories: 
        • Community Development (up to $2,500)
        • Provider Innovation (up to $500)
        • Facility Enhancements (up to $1,000)
        • Equipment (up to $500)
      • District Grant Application Deadlines:
        • Friday, April 11 - Decision letters sent out by Wednesday, May 7
        • Friday, July 11 - Decision letters sent out by Wednesday, August 6
        • Friday, August 29 - Decision letters sent out by Wednesday, September 17
Section Level Grant Categories: (7 different grant categories to choose from)
  • Section Grant: National Tennis Month Program Assistance
    • The application deadline is April 11th, 2025 to provide adequate time to prepare for the events that are to take place during May which is National Tennis Month.
    • There will be 20 approved applications for $250.00
  • Section Grant: Serving Up Tennis Grants (Not-For-Profit Organizations) 
    • $3,000 cap per calendar year, per organization
    • The Serving Up Tennis Grant may be used to start or expand programs and/or leagues for players of all ages, abilities and populations.
  • Section Grant: Grow The Game Tennis Grants (For-Profit Organizations)
    • $750 cap per calendar year, per organization
    • The Grow the Game Grant may be used to start or expand programs for players of all ages, abilities and populations.
  • Section Grant: Pro-Circuit Assistance Grant
    • The USTA Missouri Valley will provide 10% of the purse for each Pro Circuit Tournament. 
    • The USTA Missouri Valley supports Pro Circuit Tournaments that implement programs/special days that engage the community and encourage play during the week of the tournament.
  • Section Grant: Adaptive Programming Assistance Grant
    • Financial assistance varies per submission and efforts
  • Section Grant: Wheelchair Programming Assistance Grant
    • Financial assistance varies per submission and efforts
  • Section Grant: Facility Grant Assistance
    • This section facility grant can only be used in conjunction with the USTA national facility grant and their grant requirements.

Program Grant Eligibility:
  • Financial support will be awarded only to organizations: applications by individuals will not be accepted. 
  • Priority will be given to those programs that target new players, link their program(s) to USTA tennis programs, and/or collaborate with other entities.
  • Please read each grant's guidelines before completing an application. 
  • Please only submit applications online. We will not accept mailed or faxed applications. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  • Please upload your current W-9 when asked during the application form process
2025 Section Grant Application Deadlines:
All grants will be notified within 30 days of the following deadlines:

  • Friday, February 14
    • Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, March 12
  • Friday, April 11
    • Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, May 7
  • Friday, July 11
    • Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, August 6
  • Friday, August 29
    • Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, September 17
  • Friday, October 17
    • Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, November 12
Accountability: 
After your program, we ask that you complete a Grant Accountability Form. The form allows you to share how the grant and your program impacted your community. You will have the ability to upload pictures and/or documents that highlight your program.
  • Once you submit your Grant Accountability Form you will be sent the second half of your grant. (if applicable)
  • Failure to submit a Grant Accountability Form upon the conclusion of your program will result in denial of future funding.
