The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is seeking suggestions for experts to the Chemical Sciences Roundtable. CSR is a forum for promoting, cutting-edge topics in the fields of chemistry and chemical engineering.

CSR is seeking three roundtable members with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Sustainable Chemistry and the Circular Economy
  • Energy Research and Life Cycle Assessments
  • Novel Chemical Syntheses
  • Materials Science and Solid-State Chemistry
  • Advanced Industrial Chemistry and Process Innovation
  • Emerging Technologies across the Chemical Disciplines

In addition to advising in these disciplines, nominees should (1) bring enthusiasm, collaborative spirit and open-mindedness to this advisory group, (2) extensive knowledge and network regarding current topical issues and (3) be available to help CSR's staff in brainstorming and assist with to develop webinars and workshops. Members are expected to serve a 3-year term and to attend two annual business meetings and participate on planning committees.

The National Academies value a wide range of perspectives to strengthen the quality of our work. We carefully consider alternative viewpoints when formulating advice, convening experts with differing experience and perspectives, providing oversight, and conducting all other activities, and strive to foster an environment where all can participate fully. We welcome your suggestions for a broad range of experts to work with us.
