2025 YP Summit: Change Maker Nomination Form

Each year, we honor individuals making positive, innovative and powerful changes in our community and beyond. Change Makers are thought leaders and doers who are impacting the world through social, corporate and philanthropic change.

A Change Maker is someone aged 18-40, in the Greater Omaha-area who has identified the need for change and proactively works to achieve the change they wish to see.

This year, we will be recognizing individuals in the following five categories:
  • Civic Engagement Champion: An individual actively involved with the Greater Omaha community through volunteerism or civil service.
Individuals who are currently serving, are an advocate or supporter or have previously served are eligible for this award. Individuals who are currently campaigning are not eligible.

  • DEIA Champion: An advocate or ally working to change the status quo to move Omaha forward to be more inclusive for all.

  • Educator: An education professional (teacher, counselor or administrator) who is making an impact on the next generation of emerging leaders.

  • Entrepreneur: An individual blazing their career path by running their own company.

  • Nonprofit Professional: An individual who positively impacts the Greater Omaha area through their professional career in the nonprofit sector.

Use this form to self-nominate, or nominate other individuals. Nominations will be accepted from Monday, January 6, 2025 until Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 11:59 PM. Late and/or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.

Individuals nominated for the Change Maker Award will be evaluated on individual merit and personal contribution unrelated to any business affiliation with the Greater Omaha Chamber, associated programs, and/or sponsors. An anonymous selection committee will determine the recipient(s), and all nominators will be notified of their nominee's status.

Individuals who identify with the following are not eligible for this honor:
  • A past recipient of the award.
  • Those serving in public office and/or running for public office.
  • Current employees of the Greater Omaha Chamber.
  • Current volunteers of the Greater Omaha Chamber Young Professionals Committee and 2025 YP Summit Planning Committee members.
