NYC Non-Public School Students interested in the Seal of Biliteracy

NYC PRHYLI Capstone Club: Please complete this brief survey by Monday, May 6 at 3pm.



Chapter 271 of the Laws of 2012 (Section 815 of Education Law) established the New York State Seal of Biliteracy to recognize high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English. The NYS Seal of Biliteracy will be awarded by the Commissioner to students who meet criteria established by the Board of Regents and attend schools in districts that voluntarily agree to participate in the program.

8. Participants must complete all parts of the Capstone Biliteracy Project by March 15.

Please indicate your commitment to continuing (includes revising essays and assignments as needed, meeting all deadlines). We will work with your school-based coordinator to schedule your Part 4 presentations.

All students who continue with PRHYLI will be acknowledged by New York State Education Department. Additionally, all PRHYLI students will receive a certificate of completion. Please indicate you are committed to completing the project with PRHYLI support.
