Greater Mankato Growth, Inc.; Visit Mankato, LLC; and City Center Partnership, LLC/Downtown Partnership are seeking applications for 2025 - 2028 terms on all three boards. Information on each board is below:
Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. is governed by a board made up of an intentional composition of stakeholders representing the diverse mix of businesses within the marketplace. GMG’s mission is to support and promote the economic growth and vitality of our members and the regional marketplace.
Monthly board meetings are regularly scheduled on the third Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 am. The Nominating Committee for Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. will review applicants for consideration of any vacated seats (Engaged Member level or higher) to fill seats on the Board (beginning March 2025 and ending February 2028), with the following sectors as possible representation:
- Manufacturing & Financial Banking
- Hospitality & Retail (to include retail, restaurant, and hotel)
- Engineering, Accounting, Legal, and Other Professional Services
- Agriculture, Energy, Communications, Tech, and Other
- At-Large Education (K-12 or higher education)
- At-Large Business Sector (regardless of one's business sector)
Visit Mankato, LLC is governed by a board of governors made up of a precise composition of stakeholders representing the tourism industry and marketplace. Visit Mankato's mission is to lead the development of the visitor economy in Greater Mankato.
Monthly Board meetings are generally held the fourth Wednesday of each month from 7:30 to 8:30 am. Eligibility requirements include alignment with an open seat and ability to meet during the regular Board meeting times. The Nominating Committee for Visit Mankato, LLC is currently seeking applicants to fill the following four (4) seats on the Board (beginning March 2025 and ending February 2028).
- One (1) governor from the Hospitality Industry, one specifically representing a hotel.
- One (1) governor from the General Business Community (which may include, but is not limited to, financial services, retail, media, and developer)
- One (1) governor from an organization associated with Visitor Attraction (which may include attractions, event center, sports/recreation associations, higher education institutions, and arts/culture)
- One (1) governor At-Large from a business organization that has a relation to visitor services or attraction (e.g. hospitality, transportation, and health care)
The
City Center Partnership, LLC/Downtown Partnership is governed by a board of governors committed to furthering the Partnership's goal to promote collaboration and foster investment in the downtown areas for Mankato and North Mankato to attract and support the growth of a diverse array of businesses, customers, and visitors to the region.
The Board generally meets the fourth Tuesday of selected months from 8:15 to 9:15 am. The Nominating Committee for the Downtown Partnership of Mankato/North Mankato is currently seeking applicants to fill seven (7) seats on the Board (beginning March 2025 and ending February 2028).
