This University focuses on Avoiding Liability One Step at a Time - See Something Say Something

This University will focus on providing managers, supervisors, risk managers, and others with the tools they need to take preventive steps before a claim or lawsuit is filed and invest necessary time and resources to defend a claim or lawsuit. The session will look at the concepts of risk management and legal liability in agency exposures. A review of theoretical risk concepts and practical risk management applications while exploring applicable areas of statute, tort, and contract law.

Training Objectives:

Avoiding Liability,
Understanding risk and risk management concepts,
Apply the four steps of a risk management process,
Identify potential liabilities and develop mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of these.
 
Who Should Attend?
 
Department/Division Managers, Supervisors, Risk Managers, City Attorneys. All ICRMA member city personnel are welcome to attend, and we encourage you to share this information with anyone who would be interested in attending. Note: there is a maximum of 40 attendees per training.
