Workers of Colour Multicultural Mentorship Committee 2025 Conference Application

Workers of Colour Multicultural Mentorship Committee 2025 Conference Application

The SEIU-West Workers of Colour Multicultural Mentorship Committee (WoCMMC) is pleased to invite members to apply for their one-day conference, taking place at our Saskatoon SEIU-West office (747-46th Street West) on March 7, 2025.

This conference is designed for SEIU-West members to join with the WoCMMC to take an anti-racism crash course, taught by the Saskatchewan Intercultural Association. We will explore what anti-racist practices involve and how organizations can start setting a map towards racial equity.

Space is limited to 25 attendees so apply now!

Expenses will be reimbursed to a maximum of one days' lost wages/honorarium. Meals and accommodations will be provided, and mileage will be reimbursed according to our policies

Be sure to apply by February 1st! After the application deadline, those who are selected to attend will be sent a confirmation with more details about the event.

9. Are you currently working? *This question is required.
We’d love to have you attend our conference, but if you indicated that you are on Short-Term Disability or Workers Compensation, it’s risky for members to attend. If you don’t claim the income from coming to the conference correctly, they may charge you with fraud and cause you to never qualify for either WCB or DIP again. You also need to ensure that attending this course fits within your abilities and is approved by your Disability Worker, etc.
How would you like to proceed?
