Almost there!  Now we want to know a little bit more about where you are in your job search so we can follow up accordingly.

As a certified teacher, you can teach Pre-K and/or 3K in New York City at a NYCPS school or program, or in community-based organizations called New York City Community Based Organizations (CBOs).
CBOs are independent organizations that contract with the NYCPS to provide free early childhood programs: There are 1,200 CBO sites offering diverse options for families across all five boroughs.  Every year, the vast majority of new early childhood teaching positions are in CBOs.
We anticipate some mid-year openings in early childhood (between December 6 and March 1).  Would you be available and interested in potential opportunities? *This question is required.
Please check your age group of interest. *This question is required.
Additionally, we anticipate some short and long term substitute teaching opportunities in community-based organizations (between December 6 and March 1).  Would you be available and interested in potential opportunities?
If you select "yes," we will make your information available to those in need of short- and long-term substitute teachers. You may be called by a hiring manager who is looking for a substitute in their CBO.  *This question is required.
Please attach your resume so we can learn more about you. Note that if you are available for mid-year openings, your resume will be provided to hiring managers. Great!  As someone who is not-yet-certified in early childhood education, you still have multiple options for teaching positions. You may qualify to be a lead teacher on a study plan, an assistant teacher, or a teacher's aide. Study plan lead teacher candidates are individuals who plan to pursue their teacher certification in early childhood education (within three years) while working as a lead teacher in our New York City Community Based Organizations (CBOs).

CBOs are community-based, independent organizations that contract with NYCPS to provide free, high-quality early childhood programming: There are 1,200 CBO sites that offer diverse options for families across all five boroughs.  The majority of new teaching positions are in CBOs. Please note that as a not-yet-certified candidate, you are only eligible to work in a CBO setting and not in a district school.
