The purpose of this poll is to gather input from Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS) families and staff about proposed options for the
2025-26 and
2026-27 school calendars. The development of the annual school calendar requires the balancing of the interests of students, families, and staff, along with requirements from the Virginia Department of Education. Please take a few moments to review the summary below and answer a few questions about your preferences. Your input will be included in the presentation of calendar options to the School Board in November.
The calendar options chart below provides a comparison of the approved calendar for 2024-25 as well as the options for consideration. Two options for the next two years (2025-26 and 2026-27) are included. All options include 180 school days for students.
