European Space Sector Talent Study - Student & Young Professional Perspectives

Background Information

This survey is intended for students and young professionals based in Europe (with less than 5 years of professional experience).

The European space sector, an arena of rapid innovation and significant economic potential, is currently navigating a complex landscape in its quest to attract and retain new talent. Despite the sector's growth and escalating demand for skilled professionals, there is noticeable difficulty in hiring qualified individuals.

This survey is an integral part of ESPI's analysis, and complements other qualitative and data science activities aiming to achieve a greater understanding of supply and demand dynamics in the European space sector. The study aims to facilitate:
  • An understanding of current demand dynamics through industry online job postings and recruitment practises
  • An understanding of the industry's attractiveness for young space sector job seekers
  • An understanding of preferences, motivations, and key constraints for young space sector job seekers
  • The articulation of a set of recommendations to key stakeholders and industry players through the production of a report
We truly appreciate every response! A high response rate will enable our results and recommendations to most accurately depict current challenges and opinions of the sector as a whole.

The duration of the survey is approximately 7 minutes.
