Please note: We are currently only accepting applications for second-year campers. If your child is a first-year camper, please submit this form and we will notify you and invite you to apply when first-year grants become available for summer 2025.
FJC offers an incentive program for campers in California, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington state with at least one Israeli-born parent.
Second-time overnight campers may receive an incentive grant of $700 for 12-18 days of camp or $1,000 for 19+ days of camp. Families may still be eligible for additional financial assistance from their camps.
First-time overnight campers may receive an incentive grant of $1,000 for 12-18 days of camp or $1,500 for 19+ days of camp. This incentive is in lieu of traditional One Happy Camper® grants, and families may still be eligible for additional financial assistance from their camps.
This incentive is not yet available for 2025.
This application will collect your information to verify eligibility and confirm enrollment with your chosen camp.
ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA:
- Family must live in California, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon or Washington state and choose an FJC network overnight camp in one of those states
- At least one parent of the camper is Israeli (or the camper themselves is Israeli-born)
- First-time incentive:
- Camper must not have attended any Jewish overnight camp for more than 11 days prior to summer 2025
- Camper must not have previously received a One Happy Camper® grant
- Second-time incentive:
- Campers who are attending camp in summer 2025 for 12+ days for their second time are eligible for grants and ideally attending camp in Summer 2024
- Multiple children per family may be eligible; we ask for a complete application per child
- Families will be asked to complete the pre-summer survey (as part of this form) and a post summer survey
Please Note: Families living in Israel year-round are not currently eligible for this grant.
This application includes a brief pre-camp survey that FJC requests parents complete
with their children. This survey captures information that helps FJC evaluate the impact of the program and helps us learn more about how camps can best serve the Israeli-American community. FJC will send an additional survey after camp to ask similar questions. There are no right or wrong answers to the questions – try to answer as honestly as you can!
