Eligibility

Before you begin your application, answer the following questions to confirm your eligibility for the George M. Pullman Educational Foundation Scholarship.


1. I am a resident of Cook County, Illinois. *This question is required.

Unfortunately, you are not eligible to apply for the Pullman Foundation Scholarship. If you have questions regarding your eligibility, please visit the Foundation's website.
I am a high school senior, and in the fall of 2025, I plan on enrolling as a full-time student at an accredited bachelor’s degree-granting institution that is eligible to receive Title IV federal aid and is located within the U.S. *This question is required.

I demonstrate strong financial need. *This question is required.
The Foundation awards scholarships to students who demonstrate extraordinary merit and hard work in their academics, activities, and community involvement, but who lack the means to fully fund their college education. The Foundation does not impose an income cap; however, for reference, the average Student Aid Index (Formerly called Estimated Family Contribution or EFC) for last year's Pullman Scholar cohort was approximately -150.

I have a cumulative 3.0 unweighted GPA or higher. *This question is required.
An unweighted GPA refers to grades calculated on a 4.0 scale.
