Students and Graduates of Accredited Homeopathy Schools

Homeopathy Practitioners, Students and Graduates of Accredited Homeopathy Schools

The state of Arizona is the first in the country to pass legislation licensing Professional Homeopathic Practitioners. This license is available to any graduate of an ACHENA accredited homeopathy program who resides within the United States, one does not need to live in Arizona to obtain this license. This is quite an exciting time to be a homeopath!

The AZ State Board of Homeopathic and Integrated Medical Examiners, who oversees this license, has requested a homeopathic licensing exam be developed for professional licensure by the spring of 2025. To meet this need, a Homeopathic Practitioner Licensing Exam (HPLEX) Planning Council has been established and is in the process of creating the HPLEX. This council, composed of educators of homeopathy, experienced homeopathy practitioners, representatives from state and national associations, and expert exam writers, is in its beginning stages of formation. As the council formalizes, it is working in conjunction with the Homeopathy Association of Arizona (HAAZ) to disseminate information.

To determine the most effective process and platform for administering the HPLEX by the spring and subsequent exam cycles, the Council needs to identify the number of potential applicants. This survey is for the purpose of gathering that information.

The HPLEX Council is estimating the exam fee to be somewhere between $300-400, not to exceed $400.

Note: The AZ State Board is currently accepting applications for licensure from graduates of accredited homeopathy schools who have successfully passed the CHC exam, until the HPLEX becomes available as an additional approved exam.
