Regional System Facilities Plan Survey

The Regional System Facilities Plan: advancing waste reduction, accessibility and affordability.

Five years ago, Metro Council adopted the 2030 Regional Waste Plan, a visionary, ambitious plan for managing the region’s reuse, recycling and garbage system. One of the key priorities of that plan is to ensure equitable and affordable services for everyone.

Metro’s Regional System Facilities Plan takes a holistic view of the regional waste system, addressing longstanding gaps in facilities and services. The plan was made with input from industry, local government partners, and community members and outlines a pathway to finance these improvements that is fair and affordable.
