Thank you for your interest in applying for U.S. Travel membership.

U.S. Travel Association is the national, nonprofit organization representing all components of the travel industry. Every day, we are pursuing our unique mission to increase travel to and within the United States.

U.S. Travel offers a dues model that reflects the specific needs and contributions of different industry segments. It also offers two membership levels with distinct dues and benefits to accommodate a wide range of needs and budgets, allowing U.S. Travel to represent travel's entire ecosystem.

If you meet the following qualifications, we welcome you to complete this member application. All applications for membership are subject to the review and approval of U.S. Travel.

Member Qualifications
  • Is your organization one of the following sectors?
    • Standard Member: membership shall include direct travel service providers that offer or operate (i) lodging, including hotels, theme parks, gaming companies, and cruise lines ("Lodging & Entertainment"), (ii) transportation, including domestic airlines, U.S. airports and lounges, car rental and hire, and bus and rail services ("Transportation"), and (iii) operators of domestic cultural venues, historical sites, museums, natural and scenic attractions, sports teams and leagues, retail venues, zoos and aquariums, theaters, restaurants, and sightseeing services ("Attractions"). Standard membership shall also include organizations that promote U.S. travel destinations, provide in-destination information services and/or operate convention or visitor centers, including state tourism offices, tribal councils, destination marketing organizations, and convention and visitor bureaus (CVBs) ("Destinations").
       
    • Hybrid Member: membership shall include companies that sell or facilitate the sale of travel options, provide information, data, and/or booking services, including travel marketplaces, travel agencies, discounted ticket companies, tour operators and packages, unless that organization is the subsidiary of a parent company that would qualify as an Ally member, in which case the subsidiary would also qualify as an Ally member.
       
    • Ally Member: membership shall include companies that provide (i) products and services to the travel industry, including meeting and events services, marketing, advertising, public relations firms, research, consulting, technology, insurance providers, and transportation original equipment manufacturers ("Travel Partners"), and (ii) companies that significantly benefit from a robust and growing travel industry but do not exclusively operate within travel, including credit card companies and banks, consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, food service companies, real estate companies, consulting firms, media companies, and non-U.S. air carriers, airports, and destinations ("Affiliated Industries").
       
    • Association & Education Member: membership shall include 501(c) tax-exempt entities with a shared and active interest in the advancement of travel, including trade and professional associations, federal government agencies, and nonprofit educational systems or institutions, and do not otherwise qualify for Standard membership, offering a travel product, or a distribution of a travel product to or within the United States of America.
