Community in Action (Recognition Coin)

Applicant/Nominee Information (For Nominee or Self-Nomination)

The Community in Action (Recognition Coin) program is a unique initiative dedicated to honoring and celebrating individuals who are making significant strides toward building a more inclusive and equitable Omaha. This program shines a spotlight on leaders, advocates, and community members working tirelessly to make Omaha more inclusive, whether through their business, education, advocacy, or grassroots organizing leadership.

We will recognize a diverse group of champions who are committed to creating spaces where everyone, regardless of background, feels valued, respected, and empowered. These honorees may be individuals who have initiated groundbreaking programs, advocated for marginalized communities, or simply embodied the principles of inclusion in their everyday lives.

Through the Community in Action Recognition Program, we not only celebrate their accomplishments but also amplify their stories to inspire others in the community. By recognizing these trailblazers, we aim to foster a culture of inclusion and collective responsibility in Omaha—one where progress is driven by community collaboration and action.

This recognition serves as both an honor and a call to action, encouraging others to step forward and contribute to Omaha's growth and success. Whether through mentorship, advocacy, policy reform, or community engagement, the Community in Action showcases the power of individual contributions in shaping a more just and inclusive society for all.
