Michigan Ave Two-Way Design Survey

Thank you for your interest in the redesign of Michigan Avenue as part of the Streets for All Initiative

Michigan Avenue is an important major street in our downtown. It is our parade street, a transit corridor, and a place with locally-owned businesses. Public input during the Imagine Kalamazoo 2025 planning process and the creation of the City's street design guidelines emphasized the desire to create a walkable, safe, and vibrant downtown. Federal grant funds have been secured to make permanent changes to the street and the entire downtown street network. The City of Kalamazoo is seeking your input to understand what the vision for the future of Michigan Avenue should be. What do you think is working well? What areas of improvement can you identify? This survey, in combination with community meetings, will inform street design decisions.
