Black Hawk County Public Health (BHCPH) is partnering with Allen Women’s Health Center and Iowa Department of Health & Human Services to recruit community-based doulas through The Doula Project. The doulas provide cultural and linguistic support for Black-identifying pregnant people to facilitate the best possible birth experience for the parent and child. Program applicants need to identify as Black and be a part of the community they serve. Doulas are compensated for their time. Once you submit this form, you will be contacted to set up a time and date to meet virtually. By submitting this form, you are authorizing that your information will be reviewed and used by management of the project including its liaisons.
