2025 Beta Theta Pi Facilitator Application

Thank you for your interest in facilitating Beta Theta Pi's programs in 2025.

Beta Theta Pi is excited to invite you to apply to serve as a facilitator for one of our award winning programs taking place in 2025!

Below is a brief description of our programs and the facilitator roles we are looking to fill for each. Please review each program and the roles available before submitting your application. 

Winter Leadership Conclave (including the Miller Nichols Chapter Presidents Leadership Academy, Keystone Regional Leadership Conference, and Hugh E. Stephenson Jr. Leadership Summit)

In 2025, Beta Theta Pi will host the Chapter Presidents Leadership Academy, Keystone Regional Leadership Conference, and Leadership Summit at the same time under one roof for the first time! This long weekend of programming will bring together about 600 collegiate chapter officers and General Fraternity Officers for position focused education, leadership development, team building, and exciting general sessions. We have multiple facilitation opportunities available at this event, including Lead Facilitators (for groups of 140 officers) and Small Group Facilitators (for groups of 12-15), to provide position specific education and leadership development focused on interpersonal communication, feedback, accountability, and developing a healthy chapter culture.

The Winter Leadership Conclave will take place at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile in Chicago, IL over the following days:
  • January 9-12, 2025: Chapter Presidents Leadership Academy
  • January 10-12, 2025: Keystone Regional Leadership Conference
  • January 10-12, 2025: Leadership Summit

Facilitators will be required to arrive a day prior to the start of the program to participate in training (which will take place the morning of the first day of each program). Facilitators will depart in the afternoon of the final day of the program they are slated to facilitate (Sunday, January 12). Beta Theta Pi will be responsible for the cost of each volunteer's travel (airfare/auto expenses) and will provide hotel accommodations and meals while onsite.

Advisor Academy

Advisor Academy brings together collegiate chapter advisors virtually for an afternoon of learning, with position specific tracks, sessions on best practices, and an exciting keynote.

Advisor Academy will take place February 23, 2025  from 1:00 pm until 5:30 pm ET via Zoom. Facilitators will be required to attend a virtual training opportunity prior to the event date (exact dates and times to be announced). Additional dates for Virtual Advisor Academy may be announced in the coming months. If you apply for this one, we may reach out for other dates as well.

Applications to facilitate at the February Virtual Advisor Academy will be accepted through November 1, 2024.

The John and Nellie Wooden Institute for Men of Principle

In 2025, Beta Theta Pi will host three summer sessions of the Wooden Institute in Oxford, OH. Each session brings together over 70 collegiate me from across North America and 16 facilitators (14 small group facilitators - 7 Betas and 7 Friends of Beta working in teams of two - and 2 lead facilitators) in Beta's birthplace for 4 days of brotherhood, values-focused personal development, and fun! The Wooden Institute serves as Beta's emerging leader experience. 

Small group facilitators are responsible for leading groups of 8-12 collegiate Betas. They help develop the connection between those members, principled leadership, and being a member of Beta Theta Pi. Small group facilitators also drive participants toward setting personal and chapter related goals. This role requires small group facilitators to be strong relationship builders!

Lead facilitators facilitate large group sessions; they are responsible for educating about the main concepts taught while setting and driving the culture of the session. The Lead Facilitators also train and develop the facilitator team. 

The dates for the Wooden Institute are:
  • Summer Session 1: May 31-June 3, 2025
  • Summer Session 2: June 7-10, 2025
  • Summer Session 3: June 21-24 , 2025
Lead facilitators will be required to arrive two days prior to the session while small group facilitators will be required to arrive a day prior to their assigned session to participate in training. Facilitators will depart in the afternoon of the final day of the session they are slated to facilitate. Beta Theta Pi will be responsible for the cost of each volunteer's travel (airfare/auto expenses) and will provide accommodations and meals while onsite.

Winter Leadership Conclave Availability: Please let us know your availability for Winter Leadership Conclave! 

Facilitators selected for a role at Chapter Presidents Leadership Academy will need to arrive on the night of January 8, 2025 and stay through 1pm on January 12, 2025.
Facilitators selected for a role at Keystone Regional Leadership Conference will need to arrive on the night of January 9, 2025 and stay through 1pm on January 12, 2025.

Dates and times may be adjusted depending on scheduling and if the role is throughout the weekend or a single session. *This question is required.

Wooden Session Ranking: Please rank the following sessions of Wooden based on your availability and preference, the top choice being the most preferred and the bottom being the least preferred. If you cannot attend a session during those dates, simply leave it on the left side.

Please note that small group facilitators would be arriving in Oxford by 12pm on the day prior to the session beginning, and departing from Oxford at 1:00 pm on the final day.
Lead facilitators would be arriving by 10pm two nights prior to their session beginning and departing from Oxford at 1:00pm on the final day.

Example: Session 1 small group facilitators would need to arrive by 12pm on May 30, and Lead facilitators would need to arrive by 10pm on May 29. Order the items from the following list.
