2025 Holy Land Democracy Project

Holy Land Democracy Project

Dear Teacher or Administrator,

Since 2004, as participants in the Holy Land Democracy Project, over 240 teachers from more than 112 schools have traveled to Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Palestinian Territories, the Negev, Yad Vashem and more, meeting with elected representatives, officials, scholars, service organization heads, activists, civic leaders, and students from across the spectrum that is contemporary Israel.

Prior to their trip, participants attend a Weekend Retreat & Seminar for introductory learning about Israel and Middle East history and culture, community building, Judaism, and familiarity with the program curriculum.  Following the journey, teachers create five lessons inspired by their personal experiences to teach their students about modern Israel. For more information on the Holy Land Democracy Project, visit our web page.

If you are a high school educator in a non-Jewish school who would like to be considered for this transformative personal and professional journey, please complete this application at any time. Space is limited. We have a rolling application process and may accept participants prior to the deadline.
