Facial Palsy UK Survey about Smile Surgery in childhood 2024/25

About this survey

This worldwide survey is for teenagers and adults who developed facial palsy at age 5 or younger and are still affected by the condition.

Smile surgeries (surgeries that aim to recreate a smile) are sometimes offered for children with facial palsy. We want to understand how this patient group feels about surgery of this nature. Please note, you will be screened out if your smile has not been affected by facial palsy.

This survey will ask you to reflect on your own experiences which may be upsetting. If you need to speak to someone please telephone our support team on 0300 030 9333 or email support@facialpalsy.org.uk.

The survey should take no more than 6 minutes to complete. Your answers will be strictly confidential. The results will be published on Facial Palsy UK's website. We are not collecting personally identifiable data about you and any published results will be anonymised. See our Privacy Policy and child friendly version for more information about how we use and store data.

If you are happy with your responses being used in this way, please go to Question 1 to start the survey.
