The 2024 Mountaineers Board & Branch Elections

As a member, we value your participation in the election process for the Board of Directors and for your local branch officers. All members over the age of 14 may vote in the organization-wide Board election.

Voting opens on Sunday, September 1, and closes on Sunday, September 22 at 11:59pm.

Board Candidates:

The Mountaineers Board of Directors is the governing body accountable for the overall management of the organization, as dictated by our bylaws. The Board’s role, on behalf of members, is to set the financial, strategic, and social goals for The Mountaineers. At-Large Directors on the Board are elected by all members and are called to serve the entire organization and all members. The Board’s responsibilities include developing and approving the strategic plan, approving the organization’s annual budget, tracking overall financial performance, hiring the CEO, electing the Board’s officers, and setting organizational policies and procedures. The Board works with the CEO and staff to set the overall direction for the organization through the strategic plan and also reviews and approves the annual budget, reviews performance to that budget, and provides oversight and assistance to management to achieve our annual goals. Most importantly, the Board assures we are living our vision, mission, and values.

The Mountaineers Governance Committee is pleased to present the following Board endorsed candidates to the membership for consideration in elections for Directors At-Large: Serene Chen, James Henderson, Ramki Pitchuiyer, Carry Porter, Alex Pratt,  Takeo Kuraishi, and Anita Wilkins.

The Governance Committee and the Board of Directors believe these people are the best candidates for At-Large Directors for 2024. Each of these candidates is eager to serve The Mountaineers, and possess the professional skills and personal commitment needed to further The Mountaineers' mission.

You have two options for submitting your vote -- electronically via this survey or by paper ballot. Paper ballots must be postmarked no later than September 22, 2024.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO DUPLICATE VOTES WILL BE PERMITTED AND THE ELECTIONS RESULTS ARE AUDITED BY OUR GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE.
