This survey is designed to allow you to provide the information requested in the call for preliminary expressions of interest to host potential World Library and Information Congresses in 2026-2029. Please see the text of the call for further information. Your submission will only be accessible to IFLA Headquarters and relevant members of the Governing Board.

7. Please describe the team that would work on the Congress in your country. Would the national association, national library (as relevant) and other major actors be involved?

8. What potential sources of additional support for a Congress are available? Please include information you have about any potential in-kind contributions (such as free use of a conference centre), sponsorship from private partners or foundations, or support from government.

9. Have there been successful similar international events within the city/country? Please share examples and links if possible.

10. How much engagement can we expect from potential participants in the host country and region? How many might be likely to attend?

11. What could the venue be? Would this be sufficiently modern, meet accessibility standards, and have capacity for 3000-4000 participants? Please share any other relevant information about available hotels and international transport connections.

12. Can you indicate that the Congress programme would be entirely IFLA's responsibility, without interference or restrictions?
