Transformative Leadership in Community Schools
IEL is providing two micro-credential courses on transformative leadership in Community Schools. These two Micro-Credentials focus on reimagining leadership as a collaborative effort within schools. Participants will engage in learning experiences that combine group sessions, small cohort collaboration, individualized coaching and field work at their school. In this theory to practice course, participants apply practices and tools at their school site with the support of a leadership coach. The program emphasizes the development of relational trust among all members of an inclusive leadership team and the facilitation of equitable systems and structures for collaborative leadership, shared power, and evidenced based analysis to address key school challenges. As leaders, participants can enhance their ability to build strong relationships within the school community, facilitate the collection and analysis of local data, and collaborate to implement equitable decision-making practices that leverage community assets for shared goals.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Build and sustain collaborative leadership teams.
- Facilitate inclusive and equitable decision-making.
- Develop data-driven strategies to address school challenges.
