Pilot Distance Education Resources and Rubric Feedback

In support of the ACCJC 2030 Strategic Plan, ACCJC launched a Strategic Initiative to enhance quality instruction and improve equitable student outcomes in the Distance Education modality.

In June 2024, in response to ACCJC’s Call to Action, over 50 members from institutions across the region volunteered their time and expertise in support of the Distance Education Strategic Initiative. In July, the group engaged in discussions to craft a pilot distance education rubric and additional resources to assist institutions in improving quality programming in distance education and to provide peer review teams with guidance for the required validation of regular and substantive interaction per ACCJC’s Policy on Distance and Correspondence Education

ACCJC now seeks feedback from all interested parties on the following pilot resources:
ACCJC Staff, in collaboration with the volunteers from the field, and Commissioners, will consider the feedback as ACCJC pilots the rubric and resources in fall 2024 for colleges undergoing Team ISER Review and for institutions that had a core inquiry on distance education as part of ACCJC’s upcoming Focused Site Visits.

Please take a moment to complete the open-ended survey below. The survey will remain open until November 15, 2024.

Thank you in advance for your contributions to ACCJC and the peer review process.
