2024 Made in DC Pull Up & Pitch #3 Application 

The Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) is excited to announce that we are accepting applications for the 2024 Made in DC Pull-up & Pitch Competition Series

Application Deadline: Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 2 pm EST

DSLBD intends to award between $500-$2500 to maker creative businesses to support access to market opportunities and business growth. This pitch opportunity is only available to:
  • District Based Businesses that meet the following criteria:
    • Must be a District Resident (majority owner of the business)
    • Business must have an active Business License
    • Business must have a tangible product that is being made, produced, assembled, designed, manufactured in the District of Columbia.
Made in DC is a certification program of the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development which aims to support and promote businesses that design, make, produce, and/or assemble products in the District of Columbia.

Businesses that meet all eligibility requirements by the final deadline and receive an eligibility approval email will be able to participate in the pitch competition on September 20, 2024. Pitch slots are limited. You will need to gather the following to complete your application:
  1. Contact information for the business owner
  2. Business Federal Employee Identification Number (FEIN)
  3. Proof of District Residency
  4. DC-issued Basic Business License number for the business.

Key Application Details:
  • To correct an application, submit a new application and older submissions from the same applicant will be automatically rejected.
  • Signing up on eventbrite is not an application to participate, just to attend the event.  
  • Eligible businesses may not participate in more than one 2024 Made in DC pitch opportunity.
  • Made in DC certified businesses still must complete the application and have a confirmation email to participate.
